On the shoreline

Enjoy the beach, safely

Know the coast

Cleethorpes has strong tides, mud and shifting sandbanks. There are no lifeguards on Cleethorpes beach. Do not walk out to distant sandbanks; follow beach signage and Resort Team advice, and check the tide before heading onto the sands.

In an emergency at the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. The Resort Hub provides first aid and help with missing children, but is not a lifeguard service.

Check the tides

Use ADMIRALTY EasyTide for current Cleethorpes tide predictions. Conditions on the beach and staff advice still matter.

Weather & wind

A sunny town centre can feel quite different on the prom. Check the Met Office’s Cleethorpes beach forecast, including wind, before you set off.

Bringing your dog?

From Good Friday through 30 September inclusive, dogs are excluded from the beach between Wonderland Rock Groyne and Cleethorpes Leisure Centre.

South of the Leisure Centre towards Humberston Fitties, dogs are permitted year-round. Follow local signs and other restrictions, pick up after your dog and give coastal wildlife plenty of space.
